One-hundred and ninety-one States attending the thirty-ninth International Civil Aviation Organisation (Icao) assembly, in Montreal, Canada, have agreed to implement a Carbon Offset and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (Corsia). The move was welcomed by the International Air Transport Association (Iata) as the market-based measure would support airlines’ efforts to stabilise emissions with carbon-neutral growth.
