State-owned power utility Eskom has postponed its planned road closure on the R21 until further notice. Initially, certain sections surrounding the Flying Saucer interchange and Olifantsfontein drive on the R21 freeway were scheduled to be closed for the replacement of the Apollo-Croydon transmission line.
