Cape Town’s dam levels were at just over 26% on July 17, almost 17% down on the same week last year. The City says it is hard to use the last 10% of water in dams, meaning the dam levels are essentially about 16%, GroundUp reported. For a city that relies on historically wet winters, these figures are daunting. What is more, the future looks drier.
